Get to know Andy

Andy Rougeot is a father, former United States Army Officer, and small business owner.

Andy moved to Colorado in 2011 when he was assigned to Fort Carson as a United States Army Officer. He volunteered for a deployment to Afghanistan in 2013 with the U.S. Army Rangers, and after coming home from Afghanistan, moved in with his now wife, Rosalie, in Denver.

After his time in the Army, Andy took over a small business called RG Maintenance that fixes gates and keypads for self-storage facilities across Colorado. Andy on the issues
BUILD A SAFER DENVER.
Crime has almost tripled in Denver, and we deserve better. Andy will fight to make every neighborhood in Denver safe by putting the security of law-abiding citizens first.
ENFORCE THE CAMPING BAN.
Homelessness in Denver has more than doubled in recent years. Enforcing the camping ban is not only the right thing to do, it is the humane thing to do. We need to reach out our hands to help get people off the streets and enforcing the camping ban will encourage the homeless to take advantage of the services needed to get them back on their feet.
EXPAND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
Housing prices in Denver have tripled and the dream of home ownership is too far out of reach for many Denver residents. We need to make sure we have enough housing in the City of Denver so that everyone can afford to live here, whether they are purchasing a home or renting.
